Alex was born and raised in North Dakota. He graduated in 2011 from Jamestown College with a degree in Business Administration as well as a degree in Financial Planning and Marketing. He played college baseball and following his senior season, he was selected in the 35th round by the Washington Nationals in the 2011 MLB Draft.
He pitched professionally for five seasons then ultimately retired. Alex shifted his passion and competitive focus onto helping his clients achieve their financial goals.
In his spare time, Alex enjoys the outdoors with his dog Winston.
